I had a romantic time with my husband. It was our first dinner cruise in the city and even with the supermoon shining on the water, it made the evening more perfect.

What the evening includes
- 3-course plated dinner with table service
- Private, candlelit tables
- Skyline and harbor views from the decks
- Smart-casual to cocktail attire suggested
Boarding happens at Rowes Wharf, and from there the evening settles into a slower rhythm. Tables on the Odyssey are private and candlelit, and dinner arrives as a three-course plated meal with table service rather than a buffet line. Between courses, the decks open up for harbor lights and the downtown skyline. Attire runs smart-casual to cocktail, a step above daytime sightseeing. Two hours on the water, then back at the wharf.

- Accessibility
- The operator has accessible vessels in its fleet, but not every vessel or deck is accessible; it asks guests to confirm directly before booking.
The Odyssey boards at Rowes Wharf on the downtown waterfront, and the sailing leaves on time, so build a small buffer into the evening. Check-in opens within the half-hour window before departure, enough margin to find the pier and get settled before the lines are cast off. Anyone driving in can use Rowes Wharf Parking, the garage the operator points guests to; no discounted rate is published, so expect standard garage pricing for the night.

Traveler reviews of the Odyssey Dinner Cruise
Had a great time. Good food, views and dancing. Lot's of fun. Will do it again. Well worth it.
Food far exceeded my expectations. Excellent service. Rained for our trip, but when it cleared it was lovely and we had a double rainbow!
The view was absolutely beautiful and definitely the highlight of the experience. The scenery alone made the visit worthwhile. The food was just okay-not bad, but nothing particularly memorable.

The plated Odyssey dinner suits couples, anniversaries, and anyone wanting a quieter, dressier evening with table service and a candlelit table. If the goal is a group night out, dancing, or a casual atmosphere at a lower starting price, the Spirit of Boston buffet cruise fits better: same operator, livelier decks, food served buffet-style instead of course by course. Both sail the same harbor. The difference is mostly tone.
Questions about the Odyssey Dinner Cruise
What is the dress code on the Odyssey Dinner Cruise?
Smart-casual to cocktail: collared shirts, jackets, dresses. This is the dressier of the two Boston dinner cruises: the operator's dining-cruise guidance asks for collared shirts, blouses, sports coats, slacks and dresses, and discourages casual jeans, t-shirts, shorts, gym shoes and flip-flops. It is a house request, not an enforced rule.
What time does boarding start for the Odyssey Dinner Cruise?
Board 30 minutes before departure. The vessel departs promptly at the scheduled time; there is no compensation for late arrival or no-shows. Monday to Thursday: board 5:30pm for a 6:00pm to 8:30pm cruise. Friday and Saturday: board 6:30pm for a 7:00pm to 9:30pm cruise. Sunday: board 4:30pm for a 5:00pm to 7:30pm cruise. Confirm the exact time on your booking confirmation.
What happens to the Odyssey Dinner Cruise in bad weather?
Sails rain or shine. In severe weather, or on direction of the U.S. Coast Guard, the vessel stays dockside and the full dinner service still runs. Operator-cancelled sailings get a reschedule, a non-expiring gift card, or a full refund. For changes you make yourself, the listing's own window applies: Reschedule or refund up to 2 hours before boarding (Ticket Assurance policy on the listing).
Can children come on the Odyssey Dinner Cruise?
The operator's FAQ states there are no age restrictions for most of its cruises and that all minors need adult supervision. No Boston-specific age limit is published for this vessel. Very young children typically sail free; the two official pages word the cutoff age slightly differently, so confirm it at booking.
Where do I park for the Odyssey Dinner Cruise?
No operator-owned lot. Guests use Rowes Wharf Parking; no discounted or validated rate is published for it. Departure is from Rowes Wharf, Boston. Rates and transit options for both piers are in the parking and boarding guide.
